People are starting to ask… What will be the top digital marketing trends for 2017? There’s not much that can be said in a minute, but I’ll give you an overview of the top three.
Number One: Engagement
As I mentioned back in Marketing Minute number 19, “Three-Path Engagement” consists of you reaching out to your audience, your audience acknowledging your communication, and then the clencher, you need to interact with those engaged viewers to start building meaningful relationships.
Number Two: Analytics
We have many inexpensive analytical tools at our disposal, but well over 95% of data is left unanalyzed. 2017 will be the year that marketing analytics will start to truly permeate marketing decision making at all levels.
Number Three: Accountability
If all of these supposed brand-building activities do not result in more profitability, then organizations will start to abandon them and focus more directly on revenue generation and cost reduction.
So for the coming year, you can build your success by engaging with your audiences, analyzing your marketing activities, and justifying the value of your brand development efforts.
